There are few men who were born into the most powerful and wealthy clans in this side of our country, I have observed them of their grandeur and pomposity. They are enjoying luxuries bequeathed to them by their diligent and frugal parents, grandparents and maybe by their great grandparents. They are endowed with all the privileges, power and wealth handed down to them on a silver platter by their entrepreneurial, hardworking as well as shrewd patriarchs. Unknown to these fortunate worldly heirs were the untold pains and sacrifices made by their forebearers, whose quest had made possible these acquisitions of unimaginable material gains, one expert termed this sacrificial act as delayed gratification. Perhaps these men have their delusions too, thinking, it was their birthright to be born as opulent brats. They are surrounded by mortals familiarly known as bodyguards, always ready to protect them from any harm that would likely be inflicted on them by some ill intentioned individuals. They have no fear of threats from other mortals because they clout themselves with façade of invincibility. However, in due time, the reality may naturally confront these men, the inevitable reality that besets all mortals, the regressive effects of aging. As these affluent men get older, the search for successors of their fortunes becomes their utmost concern. "Who among my heirs shall succeed me of this power which I enjoyed nowadays? Who will maintain this status quo currently enjoyed by our clan?"These are questions that worried them as they approach retirement and senility. In the end, their wield of power and influence also diminishes as their physical robust as well as mental agility ebbs away, thus the natural and unseen consequences of aging take its toll. Although Science had come up with some temporary remedy against fast aging by inventions necessary for man’s longevity, there has never been and never will be an invention of something that makes mortal man metamorphosed into a perpetual being wherein he can have more days to enjoy power, prestige and praise from his minions.
